Day 2

It has become clear to me that working with others is going to be next to impossible with my connection failing all the time. Even playing solo, the periodic crashes and restarts are frustrating. Despite this, I thought I would begin Yeesha's quest but I thought a visit to the Great Zero was in order first.

The Great Zero was discovered by the DRC on a small island in the Cavern. The Great Zero requires calibration and doing this involves traveling there yourself and upgrading your KI in the machine that is there. Once calibrated, your KI will detect great zero markers (GZMs) when you get near them. Clicking the flashing icon on the KI now stores the GZM. When you've collected enough, you can begin the next stage of calibrating the Great Zero.

The Cavern

The markers are scattered throughout the Cavern. I knew that Yeesh'a quest takes you in and out of different locations in the Cavern, so upgrading the KI at the Great Zero allows me to complete the quest while collecting markers at the same time, the proverbial two birds with one stone.

The linking book to the Great Zero is located in the small library in Bevin. Also located there is a book to Eder Tsogal, Gahreesen (see Day 1), a Bahro stone to the central square of Ae'gura (more on this soon), and a linking book to the Nexus. The Nexus is a central book suppository which contains many of the places you've linked to as well as a large number of public links. I went to the Great Zero, upgraded my KI and then linked to Ae'gura.

Ae'gura is a large D'Ni neighbourhood that is almost always full of travelers. You'll find them chilling, talking, doing whatever. I decided to concentrate on marker finding which is really pretty easy. I soon had my quota, returned to the Great Zero and uploaded them as instructed. Reading the manual that was there (I still find the concept of a Myst machine coming with a manual very bizzare) I was informed that I still have to go out and collect fifteen more. I returned to Ae'gura, but seemed to exhaust this rich field of GZMs. I knew if I were to get more I would need to come at them from a different angle and so decided, next day, I will begin Yeesha's quest.
